GENTAMICIN sulfate

Therapeutic Action

Antibiotic from aminoglycosides group active against Gram-negative bacteria.

Gentamicin is no longer recommended for treatment of infections due to Pseudomonas.

Indications

Severe bacterial infections, in combination with other antibacterials

Prophylaxis of post-operative infections in surgery

Instructions for use

Must be given as IM or slow IV injection or infusion in 0.9% NaCl or 5% dextrose.

The solution must be clear.
