ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE HOLDER

Definition

A device designed to hold and stabilize an endotracheal (ET) tube when it has been intubated into a patient; it may also include a teeth protector to prevent damage to the teeth or tube during intubation. It typically consists of straps, pinch rings, cloth ties, or Velcro bands and provides the advantage of easy readjustment of the tube without retaping or the use of safety pins. This is a single-use device.

  • System to hold the device firmly in place while minimizing the risk of pressure ulcers: hydrocolloid skin barrier pads or protective foam
  • With integrated bite block
  • Tube shifter / Gliding tube shuttle: allows easy side-to-side repositioning of the ET tube, simplifying access for oral care
  • ET tube wrap with one-click security clamp locks the ET tube in place. One click releases the clamp for easy tube repositioning.
  • Standard size, secures ET tubes ranging 5.0 – 10.0 mm ID
  • Non sterile, for single patient use
