Therapeutic Action

Antiepileptic, a pyrrolidone derivative

Indications

Epilepsy in pregnant women and in women using contraceptives

Adjunctive therapy of partial onset seizures, myoclonic seizures and generalised tonic-clonic seizures

Completion of treatment after parenteral therapy with levetiracetam injectable for ongoing seizure maintenance in adults and children

Instructions for use

The oral solution is intended for paediatric use (infants and children under 6 years).

Leviteracetam does not reduce the effectiveness of implants and oral contraceptives.

Precautions for Use

Breastfeeding: administer with caution as levetiracetam is excreted in breast milk.
