Instructions for use

It is vital to read the installation manual and follow the instructions precisely before starting the unit.

For all information concerning storage and handling of the products to be stored, refer to the "preliminary remarks" at the start of this family.

Affix a temperature recording form (ALSTTEMP41E) to each freezer.

Caution:

A compressor freezer should be left to rest for 24 hours after transportation before being switched on, in order to allow the lubricating oil to drain back into the compressor.

Never tilt a compressor freezer by more than 45°.

Precautions for Use

Installation:

See manual for installation. In the user manual, it says that you have to install the appliance in a room with a volume of minimal 1m3 per 8g of hydrocarbon refrigerant used in the appliance, which is indicated on the rating plate. The required room volume should be:

Model

Quantities of R600a refrigerant

on rating plate [kg]

Minimal volume of room required (per freezer) [m3]
MF1140.058 kg7.25
MF2140.070 kg8.25
MF3140.075 kg9.40

Door seal:

Similar as the old models from Vestfrost, Vestfrost recommends to change the complete lid if the seal is old or broken. The seal alone is no longer avaiable.

Spare parts:

Spare parts can be ordered, some are compatible with the former models.

Gas:

R600a is a refrigerant gas which is a flammable. In case of leakage, the risks of explosion or fire are almost non-existent if the precautions for use have been respected (see user instructions for more details). In case of intervention on the refrigeration unit, make sure that the technician takes the necessary precautions and that an extinguisher is at hand.
