Therapeutic Action

Long-chain triglycerides made from soybean oil

Indications

Systemic toxicity induced by local anaesthetics, usually due to direct injection of local anaesthetic into a vein (extremely rare).

Instructions for use

Must be given as IV bolus or IV infusion.

The initial dose of 20% intra-lipid is a bolus of 1.5ml/kg then 15ml/kg/h.

Precautions for Use

Reserved for operating rooms where loco-regional blocks are performed.

Storage

  • Below 25ºC
  • Do not freeze.
  • After opening the bag/bottle, use the product immediately.
