Due to manufacturing issues, the 500ml square bottles are no longer available. They have been replaced with round bottles. Consequently, the holders for square bottles (EDDCHOLD5W1 & EDDCHOLD5B1) have been replaced with holders for round bottles (EDDCHOLD5W2 & EDDCHOLD5B2).

Instructions for use
The alcohol-based hand rub should be easily available at the point of care:
- inpatient ward: mounted on the wall in strategic locations, and at the patient's bedside if needed
- isolation unit: at the entrance
- operating theatre: at the hand-scrubbing station; and other strategic locations
- intensive care unit: at each bed
- delivery room: at each delivery table; and other strategic locations
The holder must be cleaned and disinfected each time the bottle is replaced.
Precautions for Use
If there is still stock available in the mission, the holders for square bottles (EDDCHOLD5W1 & EDDCHOLD5B1) are compatible with the 500 ml round bottles, but not vice versa.
