Indications

Treatment of snakebite envenomations from species found in Middle East and North Africa:

  • Puff adder (Bitis arietans)
  • Horned desert viper (Cerastes cerastes)
  • Blunt-nosed viper (Macrovipera lebetina)
  • Northeast African carpet viper (Echis pyramidum)
  • Palestine viper (Daboia palaestine)

Instructions for use

Lyophilised vial with diluent.

Reconstitute the powder vial with the diluent supplied.

Dilute the reconstituted solution in 500 ml 0.9% NaCl.

Must be given as slow IV infusion.

The minimum dose in case of envenomation is 4 vials.

Read the manufacturer's instructions.

Precautions for Use

Appropriate medical treatment should always be readily available in case of anaphylactic reactions following the administration of the product.

Storage

  • Below 25ºC
  • After reconstitution, use the product immediately.
