LIGHTNING-SURGE PROT. type 1+2 (A9L16482) 3P+E/10kA, modular

Form

This SPD provides coordinated type 1 and type 2 protection for three-phase low-voltage distribution systems, using MOV and GDT technology to handle both lightning impulses and switching surges.

  • nominal system voltage (Ue): 230/400 V AC (+/–10 %)

  • maximum continuous operating voltage (Uc): 350 V AC (L/N), 255 V AC (N/PE)

  • voltage protection level (Up): < 1.5 kV (type 1+2)

  • short-circuit withstand (Isccr): 50 kA

  • nominal discharge current (In): 20 kA (8/20 µs)

  • response time: < 25 ns

  • SPD type / class: type 1 + 2

  • Imax: 50 kA

  • Iimp: 12.5 kA (L/N), 50 kA (N/PE)

  • number of poles: 3P + N

  • dimensions: 89 × 72 × 69 mm

  • weight: 619 g

  • 1 × SPD module

  • 1 × instruction manual

Per piece.

Fit

  • installation location: main distribution board / sub-distribution

  • recommended back-up fuse / MCB: gG 160 A or NSX160E 80 A (25 kA)

  • AC system compatibility: TT / TN-S

  • mounting type: 35 mm DIN rail

  • IP protection: IP40 (front face)

  • max wire size: 10…35 mm² (phase), 16…35 mm² (earth)

Function

This SPD protects three-phase electrical installations from transient overvoltages caused by lightning or switching operations. Its MOV + GDT hybrid protection provides a strong capability to handle high-energy surge currents in both common and differential modes. Mechanical indication and remote signalling (1 C/O contact) allow immediate monitoring of device status and end-of-life condition.
