Individual wool blanket, intended for refugee camps and emergency situations.

40% new or reconditioned wool (in the latter case, the heat retention will be poorer)
Other new fibres (cotton or cotton/synthetic)

Weight: 500 g/m² minimum
Thickness: 4 mm minimum
Load: 0.07 g/cm²
Edges: overlocked (100 stitches/m) or selvedged
Colour: grey, brown or other dark colours

Tensile strength: 25 daN minimum warp and weft (ISO 9073-3)
Thermal resistance: minimum tog 2 (ISO 5085-1) NB: The tog is a unit of thermal resistance commonly used in the textile industry. The higher the tog value, the warmer the blanket will be.
Fire resistance: resistance to a burning cigarette (according to EN ISO 12952-1/2)
Shrinkage: 8% maximum after washing at 40 ºC

Often available in bales of 25 to 30 compressed blankets, wrapped in a watertight microperforated bag (polypropylene). Unit of measurement: 1 piece.

As a rule, you should allow one 40% wool blanket for temperate and tropical climates, and two blankets for cold climates.

A blanket must not remain wet for too long, otherwise it will start to rot.

To prevent condensation and mould, do not use totally airtight packaging.
