Meningeal plague

Due to its potential toxicity, the use of chloramphenicol should be restricted to severe infections when other less toxic antibiotics are not effective or contraindicated.

Instructions for use

Reconstitute the powder vial with 10 ml of water for injection.

Must be given as IV injection.

The injectable form replaces the oral capsules due to supply constraints (shortage).

Precautions for Use

Do not administer to children under 1 year of age.
