Therapeutic Action

Calcium-channel blocker with vascular effects

Indications

Acute life-threatening hypertension in perioperative period, emergency room or intensive care unit.

Instructions for use

Must be given as continuous intravenous infusion in 5% dextrose, using an infusion or syringe pump.

Nicardipine should only be administered by specialists, in hospital settings (in OT, ICU or ER), with continuous monitoring of blood pressure.

Storage

  • Below 25ºC - Protect from sunlight
  • Shelf life: 18 or 24 months depending on manufacturer
  • After opening, use the product immediately.
  • Discard any unused remaining product.
