Therapeutic Action
Vitamin B supplementation
B-complex supplements usually pack all eight B vitamins into one tablet.
Indications
Angular stomatitis (Vitamin B2 deficiency) and other Vitamin B deficiencies not covered by vitamin supplements in adults and children from 11 years of age.
Instructions for use
The vitamin B complex selected by the MSF nutrition working group should contain the following minimum components (with minimum quantity of each):

| Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) | 15 mg |
| Vitamin B3 (Niacin) | 50 mg |
| Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic acid) | 5 mg |
| Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) | 5 mg |
| Vitamin B8 (or B7, Biotin) | 0.1 mg |
| Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) | 0.01 mg |
Quantities may vary depending on the manufacturer (but should follow the minimum composition established by MSF).
Posology: 1 tablet daily
Precautions for Use
Do not administer in children under 11 years of age.
Contraindications:
- Hypercalcaemia
- Hypercalciuria
- Hyperoxaluria
- Renal lithiasis and history of renal lithiasis
- Severe renal insufficiency or renal failure (GFR < 30 ml/min)
Vitamin B2 causes yellow colouration of urine.
