HAEMOGLOBIN PHOTOMETER (HemoCue Hb 301)
Definition
Handheld analyzer allowing direct quantitative determination of haemoglobin from capillary or venous blood samples, especially designed to withstand high temperatures and humidity levels.
Specifications
Haemoglobin concentration is determined by measuring the absorbance of whole blood at an Hb/HbO2 isobestic point. This method correlates well with the reference method for haemoglobin determination (ICSH method).
