CONTAINER FOR DISINFECTION

Definition

Container designed for safe storage, handling, and transportation of reusable surgical instruments between the operating and central sterilization rooms

It is also used as a reservoir for the immersion and soaking of medical/surgical instruments in a disinfectant solution during a disinfection procedure. It is typically in the form of a tray with a removable lid and designed to allow full or partial immersion of the device to be disinfected
