The Laboratory part of the Hospital kit is one of the essential support activities‌.

Components

The Laboratory part is composed of 3 essential modules:

  1. Rapid diagnostic tests, including a glucometer and a haemoglobinometer
  2. All necessary sampling equipment
  3. A small module for the transport of samples

The other modules are optional:

  • Transfusion module: not required if only the OPD part is ordered, as it is already included (mandatory) in the Hospital Ward.
  • Blood bank refrigerator.
  • Electrolytes analyzer: Spotchem EL SE-1520. This can only be ordered if qualified staff are available to use the apparatus. The choice should be discussed with your lab advisor.
  • Basic laboratory equipment, including a microscope, if no laboratory is available on-site, with the reagents' module.
  • Same diagnostic tests as in the mandatory modules, excluding the glucometer and hemoglobinometer.
