Indications
Anxiety disorders
Instructions for use
The lowest effective dose for the shortest period of time should be prescribed.
Better option than a benzodiazepine as it is non-addictive.
The maximum dose in children (< 40kg) is 2 mg/kg.
Precautions for Use
Contraindicated in patients with prolonged QT-interval or with risk factors for QT-interval prolongation.
Administer with caution and monitor combination with:
- central nervous system depressants (opioid analgesics, sedatives, etc.)
- anticholinergic drugs (atropine, amitriptyline, chlorpromazine, promethazine, etc.)
