Definition
Polyvitalex growth supplement (Vitox) is a sterile lyophilised concentrate of essential growth factors and is used to prepare PVX-Chocolate agar. This media supports the growth of fastidious organisms (when incubated in a 5% CO2 atmosphere) due to the presence of X and V factor.

- To be used with Columbia agar media and sheep blood
- Each vial of 10 ml supplements 500 ml Chocolate media

Precautions for Use
All biological samples must be considered as potentially infectious and handled with the usual precautions (compulsory wearing of gloves, hand washing, etc.)
Storage
- Store between 2°C and 8°C (before and after reconstitution).
- To be used within 7 days after reconstitution.
- Shelf life: 24 months.
- Guaranteed minimum remaining shelf life at delivery: 1/3 of the total shelf life.
Waste management
After use, sterilize the cultures and all contaminated material. Please contact your watsan referent for advice on proper disposal.
