(Ipso DR55) THERMISTOR (TU20784)

Form

Thermistor for dryer Ipso DR55.

Fit

Fits dryer Ipso DR55.

Function

Dryer thermistors are located in the air circulation duct that carries heated air into the dryer cavity, which contains clothes and other materials being dried. They are wired to a central printed circuit board, called a control board, which synchronizes dryer operations and processes user input. The control board reads the resistance levels of the thermistor to determine the temperature of the air forced into the dryer. The circuit board uses the data sent by the thermistor to determine when to remove power to the heating element and allow the drying cycle to restart.
