The BD FACSPresto™ CD4 Counter is a portable near-patient analyzer providing absolute and percentage results of CD4 T lymphocytes and total haemoglobin (Hb) concentration in whole blood samples.
The FACSPresto is replacing the FacsCount apparatus which is no longer produced.

Precautions for Use
- Avoid using near other vibrating equipment
- Protect from direct sunlight, humidity and dust.
- Place the device on a clean, flat, level and stable surface for use.
- Secure all electrical devices in the laboratory with a UPS double conversion (see related articles below). To define the best sizing of the UPS, contact your biomedical or energy referent.
Maintenance
- Clean daily with a damp cloth with either 0.5% sodium hypochlorite concentration or 70% isopropyl alcohol.
- Turn off and protect from dust when not in use.
- Good to cycle battery (use unplugged) every few months if always powered on mains.
- Upgrade software as necessary.
- If service is required contact Biomedical referent if no local authorized partner is available.
