KIT TRIAGE MULTIPLE CASUALTY INCIDENT

Specifications

The MCI triage kit contains all the material necessary for the triage of wounded people, the organisation of triage teams and the medical management during all kind of incident with an influx of injured people exceeding the immediate management capabilities of the medical infrastructure.

The kit is supplied in a red backpack identified as MCI Triage.

The two optional modules can also be put in the backpack. This means that the kit can be easily transported and used:

  • on the spot of the incident
  • at the level of an advanced medical post
  • at the entrance of a hospital

Components

The kit is composed of:

  • a red backpack containing all the triage equipment: identification tags, instructions charts, paediatric tape,....
  • the necessary guidelines, action cards and protocols explaining how to use the kit
  • safety jackets of the different triage colours (red, yellow, green and black) to identify the staff members according their role

Options that can be ordered separately:

  • small identification module containing tapes, cards and arrows to show the way to the different areas
  • small module with basic materiel for the first step casualty, like safety blankets, compressive bandages, examination gloves for the staff, scissors to cut the clothes of the victims etc.
