Definition
The box fitted with an UV light is using a fluorescence method to control and teach how to correctly apply handrub to ensure total coverage of the hands. It must be used in combination with the concentrate solution that is added to the alcohol-based hand rub for hand disinfection.

Instructions for use
Installation of the lamp:
- Place device in an upright position with the electronic to the top. Open right and left flap. The flaps are locked with push buttons. Do not overstretch the flaps! Fold the black bottom flap down.
- Take out the accessories box by releasing the 2 hook-and-loop tapes under the box and open it outside the device.
- Take out the mains cable. Plug the mains cable into the mains socket. Afterwards plug the cable into the socket on the left side of the device.
- After actuating the toggle switch on the right side of the device the control lamp flashes and indicates the device's stand-by mode.
Performing the tests
- Switch on the box about 15 minutes before training starts in order to reach the optimum operating temperature and maximum performance of the lamps.
- Select an appropriate area for training so that the attractive white fluorescence effect is not affected by light shining directly into the device.
- Place the device on a dark surface if possible.
- To view the hands inside the box, the test subject stands in front of the device and puts his hands into the opening.
- Hands inside the box are viewed between the open side doors.
Precautions for Use
- Read operating manual carefully prior to the initial operation of this device.
- This device is designed for use within the scope of training programs only.
- Always disconnect the device from mains in case it is not used, tubes are exchanged or failures occur. Turn the device off beforehand. Pull the plug, not the cable.
- Only switch device on and operate it when it is open.
- Never turn the device on without fluorescent tubes!
- Regularly check cable and device for damages. Do not put device into operation in case of any type of damage.
- Do not repair the device yourself, but refer to our repair service.
- Keep the device away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture, sharp edges and the like.
Maintenance
- Turn off and unplug device beforehand.
- Cleaning: can be cleaned and disinfected with a detergent/disinfectant solution for surfaces / non-invasive medical equipment. Prepare use-solution in concentration required. Always read the label and product information before use. Do not mix with other products. Make sure to wet the surfaces completely, use a wipe or towel, keep them wet for the whole exposure time.
- To replace defective fluorescent lamps loosen the screws of the protective glass with a crosshead screwdriver and refasten them afterwards.
