Fit

Visualisation of tracker geo-localisation requires a computer, tablet or smartphone with access to internet.

Satellite transmission requires the device to be outside or behind a window, with clear view to the sky, antenna to be oriented towards the sky (upper side of the device). Transmission does not work through water, tainted window, through walls, or under a metallic cover.

Function

It's a passive automated GPS transmitter, used to complement movement monitoring procedures where voice communication is not always achievable. For example in areas where phone network is absent, radio communication is not available, satellite call can not always be performed.

Spot trace is a portable tracking device that registers and transmits its geographical position via the Global Start satellite network. Placed on board of a transport mean or carried by a person, the movement controller will receive a text or email when movement is detected . Movement can be followed on Google Maps or on contracted tracking company platform (recommended to program and manage alerts, most of all when using different tracking devices).

GPS tranmission recurrence ranges from 1ce in 24hr down to 1ce every 5 minutes.

It operates on 4 AAA batteries (included), accepts rechargeable AAA batteries, can be charged with a 5V USB connexion power line.

It requires activation fee (once, often included in purchase price) and a contract plan (yearly).

OCBA - 2019: Tested successfully in Niger, operated with TraksatM2M solutions provider (http://traksat.eu/), placed on vehicle dashboard.
