This vest MUST be used with respective hard armour ballistic plates (Kevlar) covering the chest and the back. These hard armour plates and respective helmets MUST be ordered separately (Check also the available sizes). The vest is costumed designed with an option to add MSF logo velcro badges (these badges must be separately ordered). The lining is made of 3D mesh material for ventilation and comfort. The soft armour panels are removable.

Function

Jacket used to protect the front, back, sides, collar and groin against fragments/bullets. Protection according to STANAG 2920. This is a ballistic test method for personal armour materials and combat clothing used to measure materials ability to stop fragments and shrapnel whose performance is measured by a V50 value. The V50 (for: velocity 50% or mean velocity) is the average of the velocities recorded for six fair impacts consisting of the three lowest velocities for complete penetration and the three highest velocities for partial penetration, provided the spread is not greater than 40 metres/second.
