Instructions for use

Precautions for Use

Do not use the plates if they show evidence of microbial contamination, discoloration, drying, cracking or signs of deterioration.

Storage

  • On receipt, store plates in the dark at 2 to 8° C.
  • Do not freeze or overheat.
  • After opening the stack of 10 plates, use within one week.

Reserved for TB culture programmes: It is recommended to purchase ready to use blood agar plates if in-house preparation of blood agar plates is not a routine laboratory procedure.

Blood agar is used to check if broth from positive MGIT culture contains contaminants.
