Therapeutic Action

Combination of two antibacterials: a sulfonamide (sulfamethoxazole) and a diaminopyrimidine antifolate (trimethoprim)

Indications

Cerebral toxoplasmosis in HIV patients, when oral treatment is not possible.

Instructions for use

Dilute in infusion solution for IV infusion administration.

Precautions for Use

Contraindicated in premature babies and infants under 6 weeks of age due to their immature enzyme systems.

Storage

  • Below 25°C - Protect from sunlight
  • After dilution, use the solution immediately.
