Precautions for Use

  • Where prolonged use is anticipated (more than a few hours), place an absorbent material, such as a cotton cloth, between the splint and the skin to prevent skin irritation, pressure points and odour. Place soft padding (such as gauze pads) around any bony prominences.
  • When cutting the splint avoid using serrated scissors as they may produce sharp edges. After cutting the splint, roll the cut end over or apply tape to cover any exposed metal.

Maintenance

Can be cleaned and disinfected with a detergent/disinfectant solution for surfaces / non-invasive medical equipment. Prepare use-solution in concentration required. Always read the label and product information before use. Do not mix with other products. Make sure to wet the surfaces completely, use a wipe or towel, keep them wet for the whole exposure time.
