Definition

The electronic safety adapter is a highly sensitive, transferable item of equipment which provides protection against hazardous accidents resulting from physical contact with live leads or parts. If a potential risk arises, the adapter responds even at low leakage currents (minimum 30 mA), interrupting the power supply within a few milliseconds and assuring safe, swift protection between the power socket and
the connected appliance.

  • Mains frequency: 50/60 Hz
  • IAN: 30 mA
  • Response time, max.: 30 ms
  • Rated input: max. 3500 W
  • Rated current: 16 A
  • max. permissible short circuit current: 1500 A
  • Ambient temperature: -25 °C - +40 °C

Instructions for use

  1. Always plug the adapter directly into a wall socket.
  2. Plug extension cables, cable reels, trailing sockets, etc. into the safety adapter. Plug in the electrical appliance (in switched-off condition).

  6. If the test proves successful, press the RESET button again. The adapter is now ready for use.

Note:
From time to time, carry out a function test, press the Test button and perform the procedure described above. After a power cut, switch on the adapter again. The safety adapter is not suitable for appliances which may give rise to consequential damage if disconnected from the power supply for a prolonged period of time (e.g. refrigerators, freezers, etc.).
