Definition
Fludora® Fusion is a long-lasting Wettable Powder (WP) in water soluble bags mixture formulation containing two active ingredients (clothiandin and deltamethrin) with different modes of action. It is specifically designed for indoor residual spraying operations (IRS), providing long-lasting (>6 months) residual control of mosquitoes and nuisance vectors such as flies, cockroaches and other crawling insects.

Precautions for Use
Where LLINs and IRS are combined in the same catchment area, IRS must be applied with a non-pyrethroid product to increase efficacy and delay the further development of resistance. Therefore, Fludora Fusion is only recommended to be used in MSF supported health structures.
t is essential that spillage into waterbodies is prevented, as the active ingredients deltamethrin and clothianidin are toxic to aquatic organisms. Clothianidin is also toxic to honey bees.
The following routine safety measures are to be observed at all times:
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke during use.
- Do not inhale powder and avoid direct contact with eyes and skin.
- If poisoning is suspected call physician and provide product label.
- In event of contact with skin, remove contaminated clothing; wash. affected body parts immediately with plenty of soak and water.
- Rinse splashes from eyes with abundant fresh and clean water for 15 minutes.
- If inhaled move to clean air immediately.
- Wash thoroughly after direct contact and seek medical advice if needed (skin irritation and/or eye irritation).
- Wear personal protective equipment (FFP2 respirator, goggles, overalls, gloves, boots and hat, and apron) when handling, mixing and applying insecticide and cleaning equipment.
- After application persons should shower and wash all PPE.
- Remove all food, cooking utensils, water storage containers, persons, domestic animals, and other removable items before application.
- Cover all non-removable items with plastic sheeting in central location within a household or structure during application.
- Do not apply in structures within 30 metre of bee colony.
- Spray operators should be well-trained with clear instructions about storage, handling, application and individual personal protection.
Waste management
- This product is hazardous to the environment. Residues or discarded/expired product should not be disposed of with regular waste.
- Limit insecticide entry into drains, sewers or any body of water by utilizing properly constructed soak away pit for waste water and rinsate, ideally in-conjunction with Triple Rinse and rinsate recycling approach.
- It is important to calculate the insecticide quantity as accurately as possible to avoid over/under ordering of the product. Insecticide is particularly hazardous and very difficult to dispose of in an environmentally safe way. Contact your technical referent for appropriate disposal procedures.
