The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is one of the 6 main activity focal points of the Hospital kit.

The 2 parts of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are designed to be used as part of the hospital kit for various critical care services, such as HDU, ICU, etc. They include the necessary equipment for a mixed critical care unit with 4 beds.

These 2 parts can only be ordered with:

• the OPD part
• the ward part (minimum of ward)
• the operating theatre part (minimum of 1 operating room)
• the 4 mandatory support activity modules:
• laboratory
• sterilisation
• pharmacy
• divers modules

The Intensive Care Unit can not be ordered unless the hospital is fully equipped and staffed with skilled ICU staff who can provide 24-hours coverage.

Diagnostic equipment and supplies are included in both parts.

Each part is organised into different modules, with a basic configuration (containing only mandatory modules) and an advanced configuration (which includes some or all optional modules). This setup provides flexibility and allows for better adaptation to specific needs.

Optional modules that can be added as required, depending on the type of care, skill level and facility structure.

Remarks

While specialised activities are considered, purely specialised services such as burn ICUs, paediatric ICUs, and neonatal ICUs should use an order with a medical standard list, as some items and quantities may not be suitable.

• All optional modules and/or items of this part, must be ordered separately. They are NOT automatically sent with the kit.
