SOLAR REGUL.(Victron BS MPPT 150/60)60A 12/24/36/48V,max150V

Form

A solar regulator connects the output of photovoltaic (PV) solar panels to a battery system. It adapts the voltage-current levels at the input to the battery voltage, thus protecting the battery from overloading. The built-in maximum power tracker (MPPT) ensures that the maximum solar power available is used to charge the battery.

This is a BlueSolar (BS) solar regulator, this model of regulators does not have a built-in Bluetooth capability.

Specifications:

  • nominal system/battery voltage: 12, 24, 36 or 48 V with auto-select
  • charge current rating: max. 60 A
  • max. PV Voc voltage: 145 V
  • max. PV Isc current: 50 A
  • terminal connectors: max. 35 mm² (screw terminal)
  • temperature range: -30 to + 60°C (full rated output up to + 40 °C)
  • dimensions (HxWxD): 185 x 250 x 95 mm
  • weight: 3 kg

Fit

The‌ solar regulator fits with solar panels up to 145 V (Voc) and charge currents up to 60 A.

The regulator can be used in systems with battery voltages of 12 V, 24 V, 36 V or 48 V and an ‘Auto Select'- function automatically determines the right system voltage.

The MPPT Solar charger comes with VE.Direct interface in all versions. Together with an VE.Direct adaptor cable this makes it possible to configure the device. And it allows to connect the Solar charger with other Victron devices, like GX-controllers to integrate it into more sophisticated systems.

Function

The basic functions of a solar regulator are to control the input voltage and current from the PV solar panels in a way that batteries can be charged with their correct voltage, and it keeps batteries from overcharging.

Additionally, the MPPT converter allows to regulate the input voltage at a level where PV solar panels produce the maximum power. This so-called Maximum Power Point (MPP) is adjusted dynamically according to instant solar radiation.

A wired communication interface (VE.Direct) is available. Via this interface the configuration of the device can be done. Additionally the charger can be connected with the Internet and the Victron Portal. And it can be connected to other Victron equipment to built up more sophisticated energy storage/distribution systems.
