Special attention must be paid to the following:

  • Observe the manufacturer's safety instructions
  • Before using the machine for the first time in operations, practise to familiarize yourself and spray team members with it by operating it with only water in the solution tank
  • Make sure you have read and understood all relevant documentation (labels, safety data sheet) before the preparation and application of larvicide
  • Make sure you are not spraying against the wind and that anyone exposed to the mist is wearing Foggers must be used strictly in accordance with the instructions appropriate PPE​

Precautions for Use

  • Read the operating manual thoroughly before operating the machine
  • Make sure the antistatic wire in the machine (connected to a metal chain) is properly mounted according to the assembly instructions and that the discharge chain is making contact with the ground
  • For operating the equipment use only fuel according to the specifications of the manufacturer (consult the operating manual for more details)
  • Before filling the fuel tank, make sure the fuel does not contain water or other impurities
  • Wearing of necessary PPE in accordance with the larvicide being used is compulsory
  • Read the Safety Data Sheet and product label thoroughly before each use​
  • The equipment should be cleaned and flushed with liquid detergent and water after each use

Follow maintenance recommendations as written in the manual.

Document the operating hours to do maintenance according to instructions from manufacturer.

Storage

Short term:

  • Store in a dry, secure location sheltered from frost
  • Keep out of the reach of children

Long term (>3 months):

  • Drain and clean the fuel tank- dispose of fuel according to environmental requirements
  • Run the engine until the carburettor is dry
  • Clean the machine thoroughly, paying special attention to the cylinder fins and air filter
  • Keep the solution container sheltered from direct sunlight as UV rays may cause the container material to become brittle
