CHARGER-INVERTER (Victron EasySolar) 24/230V 40A 1600VA

Definition

This charger inverter EasySolar is an all-in-one solar power solution and combines a MPPT solar charge controller, an inverter/charger and AC distribution in one enclosure. The product is easy to install, thus reducing the required wiring to a minimum.

This model is made for a nominal system voltage (battery voltage) of 24 V. The charger can charge batteries with up to 40 A charge current. The inverter delivers up to 1600 VA at 230 VAC/50 Hz. The included MPPT Solar charger can be connected with PV arrays up to 100 V DC and allows for charge currents up to 50 A.

The AC distribution with change-over relay feeds four AC outputs. Outputs are protected by RCD, each single output protected with an individual MCB. The change-over switching between AC input and inverter output is fully automatic depending on the grid voltage at the AC input.

Features:

  • true sine wave inverter
  • adaptive battery charger, 3-stage (bulk, absorption and float)
  • MPPT solar charger
  • PowerAssist with overload prevention of a limited AC source
  • remote monitoring and control, connection with VRM portal from Victron

Instructions for use

Read manual before use and installation. Further support documention, including back-up sizing, can be found on your logistical knowledge base.

The EasySolar device is highly flexible and allows for configuration in multiple ways. Generally the VE.Bus communication interface is used for connection to a GX-controller. With help of the GX controller all configuration and system integration is usually done. Alternatively an MK3-USB adaptor can be used to connect to the charger/inverter. A VE.Direct interface is available for direct connection to the Solar charger.
With help of a GX-controller the EasySolar device can be connected to the Internet and the VRM Portal allowing for data monitoring, remote control and remote mainenance.

The configuration software further allows to upload additional functions, called assistants. Refer to the comprehensive Victron documentation for details on assistants like use of the relay, automatic generator start or ESS.
