A lock-out tag to alert users that the electrical installation or device is being maintained at the moment. It's used to communicate safety and lock-out information at the power source.

Lockout is a safety procedure used to ensure that electrical installations and equipment is properly shut off and not able to be started up again before the completion of maintenance or repairwork. This prevents accidental switching on an electrical circuit or equipment while an electrician is working on it.
