STRAINER non-return, 3" ND80 + sieve

Form

A cylindrical metal/mesh filter (i.e. strainer) with an embedded sieve combined with a non-return valve and fitted with a 3” or ND80 Guillemin coupling.

Contains one piece of: CWATSTRA3S- + CWATCOUV3FB + CWATCOUH3FL. Unit of measurement: 1 assembled unit.

Fit

To be connected to a 3" or ND80 suction pipe. For use with 3” or ND80 pump (CWATPUMD06-) for extracting raw water from surface reservoirs such as rivers, ponds, or rigid/onion tanks.

Recommended to use with CWATPLUMF2R (float) in order to keep unit from touching bottom of source reservoir.

Function

Used with surface pumps at the beginning of the suction hose (in the raw water intake). Functions are to prevent 1) debris or leaves entering the pump at intake level and 2) the water leaving the suction hose once the pump is primed.

Use a float to prevent strainer from touching bottom mud and becoming clogged.
