Indications
Cholera, uncomplicated cutaneous anthrax, louse-borne and tick-borne relapsing fevers, epidemic typhus and other rickettsioses, plague, brucellosis, leptospirosis, lymphogranuloma venereum
Lymphatic filariasis, alternative to ivermectin in onchocerciasis
Alternative to first-line treatments of treponematosis, atypical pneumonia, cervicitis and urethritis due to Chlamydia trachomatis, donovanosis, syphilis
Instructions for use
Doxycycline replaces tetracycline in most of its indications (better pharmacological profile and cheaper treatment).
The salt can vary depending on the source e.g. hydrochloride, hyclate.
Precautions for Use
Never administer expired doxycycline.
