Instructions for use
For centrifuging cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), the glass tubes or the sterile PP (polypropylene) tubes are preferable, especially for the meningitis test (see list related articles).
The glass tube (ELABTUCE1NG) can be autoclaved to sterilise. The other (sterile) tubes are aimed for single use.
MSF requirements
Glass tube or transparent sterile crystal polystyrene tube (good transparency but not heat resistant) to examine the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and detect cryptococcus.
Unbreakable, thermoresistant, polypropylene tube: to heat the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).
Tube suitable for the referenced centrifuges: max. height 110 mm in order to not bang against the rotation axle and min. 105 mm to be easily removed.
Conical bottom which facilitates the formation of the deposit and suits the centrifuge.
