SPECTROPHOTOMETER (Humalyzer 2000)
The Humalyzer 2000 has been stopped by the manufacturer. Contact your laboratory advisor for alternative options.
The support for Humalyzer 2000 will be discontinued in November 2023, and spare parts for this instrument will only be available as long as stock lasts.
Definition
A mains electricity (AC-powered), benchtop instrument intended to be used to determine the absorbance or transmission of light energy transmitted through a substance, typically a solution/liquid, or a gas. It is used for diagnostic and research purposes and detects scattered light intensity, absorption, and fluorescence.
The biochemical dosages are performed with reagents presented in kits. The reaction takes place on serum, plasma or urine and the result is read by the spectrophotometer.
Used for the measurement of blood parameters and the follow-up of antiretroviral drugs side-effects.
