Treatment of moderate hypokalaemia
Instructions for use
7.5% potassium chloride oral solution (74.5 mg of K+/ml = 1 mEq of K+/ml = 1 mmol of K+/ml)
Must be given using a MEDICINE CUP or a ORAL SYRINGE.
Precautions for Use
CAUTION!
In case of supply issue, the 10% oral solution (100mg K+/ml, 1.33 K+mEq/ml) (DORAPOTC1S-) can be used as an alternative to the 7.5% oral solution.
In that case, the dosage should be adjusted to avoid overdose and the risk of medication errors, as follows:

Avoid having both concentrations in the same facility.
Always ensure that the correct medication, in the correct dose is administered to the correct patient, at the correct time, and by the correct route.
