CHARGER-INVERTER (Victron Quattro) 48/230V 140A 10kVA
Definition
The Victron Quattro charger-inverter 48 V, 140 A, 10000 VA is a combination of an 48 V, 8000W inverter and a battery charger. The integrated battery charger provides up to 140 A charge current which allows quick charging even for bigger batteries as long as there is an AC input.
The 48 V sine inverter converts the DC battery voltage into 230 VAC. Due to a pure sine wave this inverter is also suitable for sensitive electronic devices.
An integrated relay switches over from AC input to inverter output. And it switches back when power is restored at the input. The whole process is controlled fully automatic.
Features:
- true sine wave inverter
- adaptive charging, 3-stage (bulk, absorption and float)
- 2 x AC input and 2 x AC output
- PowerAssist with overload prevention of a limited AC source and AC power boost with power taken from the battery
- offline UPS configurable, i.e. short switch over time (20 milliseconds) and a true sine wave output
- virtual unlimited power in parallel operation of multiple Quattro
- 3-phase system configurable with 3 Quattro devices
- remote monitoring and control, connection with VRM portal from Victron

Instructions for use
Read manual before use and installation. Further support documention, including back-up sizing, can be found on your logistical knowledge base.
The Quattro device contains 2 AC inputs. This allows to use 2 different power sources, e.g. electricity from grid and a generator. The Quattro will detect active power sources and switch over automatically.
The Quattro device is highly flexible and allows for configuration in multiple ways. Generally the VE.Bus communication interface is used for all configuration and add-on functionality. An MK3-USB adaptor is needed to connect to the Quattro with a computer .
Via the VE.Bus interface the Quattro can be connected to a GX-controller and with other Victron devices. This adds further options for intelligent control. With the GX-controller the Quattro can be connected to the Internet and the VRM Portal allowing for data monitoring, remote control and remote maintenance.
The configuration software further allows to upload additional functions, called assistants. Refer to the comprehensive Victron documentation for details on assistants like use of the relay, automatic generator start, ESS or Solar support.
