Definition

A hand-held device used by hospital staff to scrub their hands, fingers, and forearms prior to surgery or other intervention where a high degree of personal hygiene is required. It consists of a flat handle or a block with side grips on one side, and bristles, fibres, or spines that are typically mounted along a single plane on the other side.
